Entrusted by the Organizing Committee of the World Athletics Championships Beijing 27, BODA is assisting in organizing specialized training for event preparations. The training series fully leverages BODA’s strength in gathering human resource legacy from the two Olympic Games to support high standard, high quality preparations for the World Athletics Championships Beijing 27 and to implement the task of “making good use of the dual Olympic legacy to establish Beijing as a prominent host of international sports events” as set in the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan of Beijing Municipality.

The training session on May 25 was delivered by Wang Zhu, former Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and director for the opening and closing ceremonies of the IAAF World Championships Beijing 2015. Focusing on current circumstances, implementation teams, financial management, and other aspects, Wang shared experiences and lessons from the organization and implementation of the opening & closing ceremonies in 2015. She also proposed recommendations for this year’s coordination work, providing historical references and practical guidelines for upcoming event preparations.
