In his opening remarks, Xia Rihong said that to implement President Xi Jinping’s important instructions on fully tapping the Olympic legacy, the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre has actively carried forward the cultural heritage of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, and since 2022, has held themed exhibitions to promote the spirit of Beijing 2022. This year, on the basis of the previous exhibitions, it will carry out a campaign aimed at promoting the spirit of Beijing 2022 in government agencies, campuses, communities and villages. Catering for the specific needs of different target groups, “1+N” customized services will be provided to ensure that the spirit of Beijing 2022 is understood, accepted and carried forward by the public in a more vivid and natural way, thereby marshalling strength for building a modern socialist country in all respects and realising the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Shi Wei stated in his speech that the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics not only presented the world with streamlined, safe and splendid Games as scheduled but also left behind the valuable spirit of Beijing 2022. By bringing the “Spirit of Beijing 2022” themed exhibition to government agencies, campuses, communities and villages, the campaign aims to promote the spirit of Beijing 2022 among the public, so as to rally more people, especially the youth, to work together and make progress. Through this exhibition, we not only revisit the incredible moments of the Games but should also tell stories of dedication, the concept of innovation and values of solidarity and collaboration. He hoped that the campaign would serve to integrate the spirit of Beijing 2022 into our daily lives and translate it into actions by sowing the seeds of dreams on campus, boosting unity in communities, inspiring innovation in enterprises and urging government agencies to perform their roles.
