From different perspectives, these works tell moving and inspiring stories about sports and capture the memorable moments when people excel themselves and exceed the limit of their endurance.

During the review

After careful preliminary review, 32 works stood out and advanced to the finals. Path to Glory, Starlet’s Journey: Memories of Chinese Youth Volunteers at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and The Romance and Reality of the Paris Olympics, which revolve around the international sporting event of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Other finalists include Antelope of the Plateau – China's First Tibetan Olympic Champion Qieyang Shijie's Journey in Pursuit of Her Dream, which reflects the admirable spirit of Chinese athletes; Flying Wheelchair, which demonstrates the speed and tenacity of disabled athletes, and the Free Female Warrior and Grandpas with Six Packs, which laud the power of older fitness enthusiasts.

Some other works zoom in on the in-depth connection between sports, society and the times. For example, Premium Spectacular: Anti-corruption from Sports to Football focuses on anti-corruption in the sports field. Olympic Memories in Pin Exchanges tells the story of carrying on the Olympic culture by exchanging pins. Badges of Growth and Flow demonstrate the joys and challenges and the perseverance of young people when pursuing their sports dreams.

These works show that sports is not merely about winning gold medals and trophies; it represents every step that people take in life and every endeavour to surpass themselves. Below is the list of the 32 entries that advanced to the finals.
