On 28 July, 18th Beijing International Sports Film Week and the 40th Milan International Sports Film and TV Festival Global Final (Beijing), with the theme of “Shine on Dual Olympics and Together for a Shared Future”, was held in Beijing.

By 18 July, a total of 218 sports films had been selected for the preliminary evaluation, and 39 films were selected to participate in the finalist selection. 18 outstanding films were selected from eight categories, including “Olympic Games and Olympic Spirit”, “Sports and Society”, “Documentaries”, “Feature Films” and “Student Works”, and will participate in the 40th Milan International Sports Film and Television Festival Global Final in Italy in accordance with the “Beijing International Sports Film Week and International Sports Film and Television Festival Global Final (Beijing) Call for Entries Selection Rules”.

Beijing International Sports Film Week is jointly organised by Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, China Olympic Committee and Beijing Olympic City Development Association. Beijing International Sports Film Week was founded in 2005 as an international cultural exchange event in the field of sports film and television during Beijing's preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games, and has been held for 18 times since then. Since 2010, it has become an important part of Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival. In addition to introducing outstanding international sports films and TV productions, Beijing International Sports Film Week has also sent outstanding sports films and TV productions to the global finals of Milan International Sports Film and TV Festival every year, and has won the Golden Wreath Award several times. Beijing International Sports Film Week is gradually becoming one of the most important bridges for Chinese sports film and television culture to internationalization, contributing to the inheritance of the Olympic Legacies, the telling of the Chinese story and the blossoming of Chinese sports culture in the world.

Weave light and shadow in one frame and one scene and tell China's story with one person and one object. Let's look forward to the 18th Beijing International Sports Film Week lighting up the sports screen, and to Chinese sports films and TV productions shining on the international stage and together for the future!
