The Beijing International Sports Film Week (hereinafter referred to as Film Week) was founded in 2005 as an international cultural exchange event in the field of sports film and television by the former State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) and the Beijing Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) during Beijing's preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games. Since 2017, the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and Chinese Olympic Committee, together with Beijing Olympic City Development Association as co-organisers of the Film Week, have been adhering to the aim of “Carry on the Olympic Spirit and Build a Better City”, strengthening cooperation with domestic and international organisations, actively working on the creation and prosperity of Chinese sports film and television culture, and striving to build a sports film and television platform with international recognition and authority. As part of the Milan International Sports Film and Television Festival Global Finals, dozens of outstanding Chinese sports films and TV productions have won awards at Milan International Sports Film and Television Festival Global Finals through the Film Week platform over the years. The best works will represent China in the “40th Milan International Sports Film and Television Festival Global Final”, and for those nominated for the Global Final, Film Week Organising Committee will contact the organisers of the Milan Final, the International Federation of Sports Film and Television, to win the award. The organising committee will contact the organisers of the Milan final, International Federation of Sports Film and Television, to recommend the film to travel to Milan, Italy, to participate in the final event and to assist in providing the relevant documentation. At the same time, your work will also have the opportunity to participate in the theatrical screening of Capital Art League and the public service screening of outstanding sports films in Beijing and in rural areas, universities and communities across China.

I. Registration Period

From now to July 18th, 2022 (subject to mailing time)

II. How to register

(i) Online submission of entry forms and entries

Upload the entry form and your work to Baidu Cloud Drive, and send a link containing the download verification code to sportsfilmweek@163.com. Each entry should contain the following content.

1. a finished film.

2. a word version of the entry form.

3. a scanned version of the handwritten signature/stamp of the entry form (PDF file).

4. promotional posters, stills, film footage, etc., if available.

III. Content of the call for entries

Sports film and television works produced by production units and individuals in the past three years (2020-2022), including documentaries, feature films and sports promotional films, etc., with the scope of the call for documentaries being works in the past five years (2018-2022).

You are cordially invited to submit your newly created outstanding sports film and television works for selection and exhibition. Thank you for your support of the film week and we look forward to your participation!
