According to the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (Beijing Organising Committee), China Post Group Corporation officially launched the “500-day countdown postage meter publicity label for Beijing Winter Olympics” on September 21 to further promote the Winter Olympics, improve the popularity of Beijing 2022 Post Office and meet the needs of consumers in postal services.
The postage meter publicity label is a mark with publicity characters or patterns specially designed by China Post and printed by the postage meter. The themes of the postage meter publicity labels are different from the major themes of philatelic stamps, and mainly focus on Chinese historical and cultural allusions, red culture, cultural heritage, beautiful countryside, landscape and tourism, environmental protection, regional culture and other elements of traditional Chinese culture.
To facilitate stamp collectors, the TS71 colored postage meter publicity label is affixed to a special envelope designed by China Post for the 500-day countdown to the opening of the 2022 Winter Olympics. Approved by the Beijing Organising Committee, it is a franchised product and is sold at Beijing 2022 Post Office.
The postage meter publicity labels launched this time are a set of two labels, the emblem and the mascot of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. On September 21, many people were lining up for the 500-day commemorative stamp folder in front of the Beijing 2022 Post Office in Shougang Park.
